This year’s Stoke Your Fires film festival will be taking place from the 10th-24th February, and we’ve got a pair of tickets for the opening gala to give away, including the world première of the Blood and Bone China film.

Japanese film director and screenwriter Nagisa Ôshima’s classic films are being made available on Blu-Ray – and we’ve got some to give away.

Nagisa Ôshima has been writing and directing films since the late 1950s, but this is the first time that his cinematic creations have been made available on Blu-Ray.

In the Realm of the Senses (1976) is set in pre-war Japan, and inspired by the true story of an elicit affair which spirals out of control – read our full review here. Meanwhile, Empire of Passion (1978), tells of another affair, this time between a young man and a married older woman. Lastly, Merry Christmas, Mr. Lawrence (1983), starring David Bowie, tells the story of four men in a 1942 Japanese prison camp, where the British struggle to understand the Japanese way of thinking.

Hopeless passion, dark secrets, mysterious castles – Jane Eyre has entertained for generations and now has a glossy new screen adaptation. Stanley Kubrick’s A Clockwork Orange returns to the big screen for one night only!

Win tickets to see the iconic A Clockwork Orange screened at Brunel University in West London on Thursday 2nd June– one of the key locations featured in the groundbreaking film.

To celebrate the 40th anniversary of this cult classic, Volkswagen and TFR have teamed up to offer two pairs of tickets to this exclusive screening of this Oscar nominated film.

The event is the forth in Volkswagen’s See Film Differently series, following the original location screenings of An American Werewolf in London inside ZSL London Zoo, the gangster classic Get Carter, which was shown at Newcastle Racecourse, and Trainspotting, screened at the Royal Scottish Academy – all of which are notable locations featured in each of the classic films.

The lucky winners will be able to watch the film in Brunel University’s lecture theatre – the setting for one of the film’s most unforgettable scenes, in which Alex is subjected to experimental aversion therapy. The event will also feature a one-off exhibition of original stills and film memorabilia, as well as a Q&A session with Jan Harlan – Stanley Kubrick’s brother in law and assistant producer for A Clockwork Orange – following the screening.

In addition, those fortunate enough to attend will be treated to complimentary cinema style food in the ‘Moloko Bar’, a specially themed exhibition space inspired by the milk drink favoured by Alex and his gang in the film.
