In February, we brought you the news that Kristen Stewart had entered into formal negotiations with Universal for the lead role in Snow White and the Huntsman. By now you must have heard she has been officially cast as the beautiful heroine, Snow White and Twilight fans, in particular, will undoubtedly be looking forward to this upcoming release.
Even though they have not started shooting yet, new banner art for the film has been released by Slashfilm. The image of Kristen Stewart in a suit of armour might surprise fans who are more used to seeing her moping around and generally being quite fragile in the Twilight films that she is perhaps best known for. Could Stewart be getting a bad-girl makeover as Snow White, who is reportedly going to get fighting tips from the Huntsman?
With part one of the last in the series, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn coming out on November 18th, many will be wondering where they will see ‘Bella’ next. This is the first project she has taken on since the Twilight films and she has had to choose wisely.
Snow White and the Huntsman, directed by Rupert Sanders, certainly has something of a star-studded cast. Charlize Theron will play the Evil Queen, and while she is no stranger to playing bad-ass characters, her role in this film is said to be especially evil and devious. The Huntsman will be played by Chris Hemsworth, providing the brooding love-interest, and the Prince will be played by Sam Claflin.
Apparently there will be eight Dwarfs, although they seem to have been getting less publicity than other stars of the film. Snow White and the Huntsman is set to come out next year – we’ll keep you updated!
