The UK’s dreary start to summer time could easily pass for December, but it took some work to transform the French Rivera’s sun-baked Cannes Film Festival into a winter wonderland for the premiere of Jim Carrey new flick A Christmas Carol.
In character as Ebenezer Scrooge, Carrey arrived at a yuletide-themed event in a horse-drawn carriage before indulging in a snowball fight with castmates Colin Firth and Robin Wright Penn – despite the fact he was closer the sea, sand and sun than actual snow.
It’s unlikely to be the first time that stars have encountered white powder at the showbiz festival, though. Ahem… Not at the Disney bash, of course!
A Christmas Carol is pencilled for release in November.
