The MTV Awards aren’t exactly the Palme d’Ors, but it would be nice to get to occasional surprise to keep the audience on their toes… Robert Pattinson’s vampire film scooped so many prizes that the ceremony might as well have been renamed The Twilight Hour.
First up Pattz and his co-star Kristen Stewart picked up prizes for Breakthrough Performance (Male) and Best Female Performance respectively. They then shared the coveted Best Kiss honour before Pattinson and onscreen nemesis Cam Gigandet picked up the award for Best Fight and the whole cast and crew landed the Best Movie accolade.

That wasn’t all from the fang gang, though; Pattinson, Stewart and Taylor Lautner to introduce the world premiere trailer for Twilight sequel New Moon.

Danny Boyle might have swept the board at the BAFTAs, but it all he got to take home with him last night was the goodie bag. Ah well, at least the outsiders will know to just stay home with their feet up next year.
