An American Werewolf In London remake on the cards

Has the Twilight saga whetted everyone’s appetite for a bit of blood? First it was reported that Buffy The Vampire Slayer would be making another appearance next year, and now John Landis has confirmed that a reworking of his 1981 hit An American Werewolf In London is on the cards after Dimension Films acquired the remake rights to the movie.
“Perhaps someone will make a brilliant movie out of it,” he told Bloody-Disgusting.com. “Regardless, my film [version is re-released] on Blu-Ray this summer and looks amazing. I was afraid the digital cleaning of the negative would result in too clear a picture and hurt Rick Baker’s make-up, when in fact the incredibly crisp detail actually makes Rick’s stuff look even better.”

Let’s just hope it does better than 1997’s box office bomb American Werewolf in Paris.
