Gerard Butler steals Danny Boyle’s thunder

Way to make Danny Boyle look bad…After countless rumours (all denied) that the young stars of board-sweeping hit Slumdog Millionaire were left, well, slumming it in India after filming wrapped, Gerard Butler rocks up like an inexplicable super-hero and treats them to an all expenses bumper fun day out.
According to the Daily Mail, the 300 star organised the jaunt for Rubina Ali Qureshi and Azhar Mohammed Ismail, who play the young Latika and Salim in the smash, while on visiting India on holiday – fulfilling a promise he had made to them during an encounter at this year’s Oscar ceremony.
Could there have been an ulterior motive though? Also in presence was Bollywood stunner Priyanka Chopra. Whatever the case, Danny Boyle needs to up the stakes during his next visit.
