Fancy hogging a bit of Tom Hanks’ limelight? You could be within a chance; a Californian theatre company is auctioning off a speaking role in a production starring the Angels and Demons star.
No acting experience is necessary, but would-be thesps will need a healthy bank account – the coveted part in the Simply Shakespeare adaptation of The Comedy of Errors has been attracting attention on eBay all week. At time of writing, the asking price is US $1,691, but it’s expected to rocket even further before it ends later tonight.
The winner doesn’t only get a chance to tread the boards though; the Shakespeare Festival/La Theatre is also offering up some (rather necessary) rehearsal time as well as an invite to the VIP after-show party. And, of course, it’s all for charidee.
Just think, you could be Tom’s most charismatic co-star since the football in Castaway.
