The Power of the Patz!

Robert Pattinson’s Midas touch means a whole generation of tweens might be about to have an unwitting lesson in art history… The Twilight star’s sudden rise in profile has proved perfect timing for Little Ashes, the indie flick about Salvador Dali that Pattinson filmed before becoming a household hottie. “I love the fact that an audience is going to be drawn to the film, partly through Rob, that wouldn’t otherwise get to this kind of movie,” the film’s director, Paul Morrison, told the Los Angeles Times. “For a little film like this you need a bit of luck.” Patz fans might be in for a surprise though – any nocturnal activity portrayed on screen won’t be of the vampire kind; the film follows the story of the Spanish painter’s homosexual affair with the poet Federico Garcia Lorca.
