It’s nearly Sex And The City 2 time!

Sex And The City 2 premiered in New York night, which means only two days until we have it here! But oh no, the reviews have been anything but favorable really. I’ve collated a few of them so you can see just what you are in for.
“It all feels like Sex And The City should feel – the New York backdrop, the relationship issues, the trendy parties. And just as you’re settling back into the familiar surroundings, the four leads are whisked off to Abu Dhabi as the guests of a Sheik.
“At this point the movie goes from being what we love to what on earth were they thinking?
“Let’s get the Sex back to the City of New York, please. It works well there and doesn’t reduce the level of humour to someone falling off a camel.”
Alex Zane. The Sun.
“In this second screen incarnation of the fabulous HBO series, the satire is sagging, the irony’s atrophied and the funny is flabby. Yes, the clothes are more fabulous than ever, but Carrie, Miranda, Samantha and Charlotte have misplaced their chic and sassy and become, gulp, too ordinary and desperate. They were never supposed to be like the rest of us.
“Still, the women are not anywhere as desperate as the movie itself, which fails its stars and its many obsessive fans.”
Betsy Sharkey, Los Angeles Times Film Critic
“For one, the clothes are mostly dreadful. Sarah Jessica Parker looks like a cross between Wurzel Gummidge and Bride of Chucky; Miranda looks badly embalmed. In one scene, where the gang appear coming over a dune in the Arabian desert, they resemble a karaoke tribute act to the Village People.
“Is it because they’re so much older and still carrying on like members of an Imelda Marcos-organised hen party?
Sex and the City 2 goes on for half a lifetime, contains approximately three good one-liners, and has some mortifyingly embarrassingly sequences involving gay men.”
Sukhdev Sandhu, The Telegraph
Will you be swayed by the critic’s view or go and see it regardless?

Anyway, below are pictures of how the ladies dresses for the première, who do you think looked the best?
