Spike TV Guys Choice Awards gets the lads out

The MTV Awards wasn’t the industry’s only opportunity to do a bit of back-patting over the weekend; Saturday night saw the third annual Spike TV Guys Choice in Los Angeles. As the name might suggest, this wasn’t exactly a place for chick-flicks – the general theme was boys, bombs and booties…
Almost a decade after it’s release, Fight Club was introduced in the Guy Movie Hall of Fame with a little hand from Brad Pitt, Edward Norton and director David Fincher. Clint Eastwood was also in attendance, there to accept the Brass Balls Award for his lifetime of legendary work as an actor and filmmaker. Mickey Rourke was the recipient of the night’s top honour, as the Oscar nominated star of The Wrestler was voted “Guy of the Year” by Spike TV viewers, beating out President Barack Obama in the process. Finally, seven years after being kissed by Adrien Brody at the Oscars, Halle Berry turned the tables on the boys, and had a very special moment with Jamie Foxx, who was on hand to present her with the Decade of Hotness Award.

If there was a Spike TV Girls Choice Awards, I’m sure Robert Pattinson would have picked up every prize…
