American Pie has a lot to answer for, not least the copious amount of sequels and spin-offs it given has us – although the film’s involvement in the creation of the teen gross-out genre is the main offence up for question here. Some of the offerings the genre has spawned have been good, some have been bad – but if you imagined a hybrid of them all, you’d probably get Fired Up.
