If you’ve never woken up after a night out, with a tiger growling in the bathroom, farmyard birds wandering around the kitchen or discovered a tattoo on your face, then the lads from The Hangover can show you the true meaning of a wild night out. But they’d better sober up soon because filming for the Hangover Part III is set to start next year.

It’s been on the cards if screenwriters, Todd Phillips and Craig Mazin, would write a second sequel to the hit comedy film, but it has now been confirmed by the star himself, Bradley Cooper.

Cooper, who was named 2011′s Sexiest Man Alive by People Magazine, appeared on the The Graham Norton Show last weekend and claimed filming could begin late next year.

The Limitless star said, ‘I hope we’re going to start shooting in September, I know Todd Phillips is working on the script and the third film would close the trilogy’.

Cooper thinks the film will be set in L.A. and not adhere to the typical ‘Hangover’ structure.

However, back in June, Zach Galifianakis (who played oddball Alan Garner) told Rolling Stone that the third film would see his character being confined to a mental hospital, where Phil (Cooper) and Stu (Ed Helms) attempt to break him out.

He also told Rolling Stone that he was ‘getting fricking phone calls already’ regarding Part III.

The Hangover Part II topped the UK Box Office on its opening weekend, taking in a staggering £10m which beat the likes of Thor and Pirates of the Caribbean.

The third and final installation to the crude comedy saga is expected to be just as popular, but will it be a happy ending?

According to Mazin ‘the third movie ends with Doug staring at a row of crosses in a graveyard, it’s everyone – his wife, his family is dead, everybody from the first movie is dead. Somebody shows up and tells him his dog is dead’.

Who knows what we are to expect, but if it’s anything like its prequels, it’s guaranteed to be utter carnage.

The feisty fur-ball, Puss in Boots, reached number one on the US box office chart on its opening weekend.

The film – starring the musketeer-inspired cat from the popular Shrek films – reached the North American movie top spot, taking in £21.2m ($34m) during its opening weekend.

It pushed the horror film Paranormal Activity 3 which only took in £11.6m, down to second place, just half the amount of Puss in Boots.

The ginger ninja is voiced by 51-year-old Spanish actor Antonio Banderas, who also narrated the character in Shrek 2 and 3.

The family romp tells the story of Puss’s adventures with his friends, Humpty Dumpty and Kitty Softpaws, before he met Shrek. His mission is to hunt down Jack and Jill, two murderous outlaws who are in possession of an ancient power which could destroy the world.

The 3D film, directed by Chris Miller, also includes voices from Salma Hayek (Kitty Softpaws), Billy Bob Thornton and Amy Sedaris (Jack and Jill), as well as The Hangover star Zach Galifianakis (Humpty Dumpty).

The Shrek spin-off was intended to be a direct to DVD release, however, it proved to be so popular that it was reconsidered for theatrical release.

Puss in Boots comes to UK cinemas on Friday 9 December, just in time for panto season.

The release of The Hangover Part II may be put on hold over a legal dispute regarding a tattoo used in the film.

Tattooist S. Victor Whitmill is suing the film’s producers for copying the image he designed tattooed on Mike Tyson’s face back in 2003. In the sequel to the 2009 smash hit the actor Ed Helms who plays Stu in the film wakes up after a big night drinking with a tattoo which appears to be almost identical to Tyson’s one.

Boxer Tyson also stars in the film, which is set in Bangkok this time. You may remember he had a part in the first film as well. There is no word about what the man himself has to say on the issue.

Whitmill’s lawyers are claiming the use of the tattoo is “reckless copyright infringement”, saying:

“Mr. Whitmill has never been asked for permission for, and has never consented to, the use, reproduction or creation of a derivative work based on his original tattoo,”

The case has opened a can of legal worms and raised questions about whether someone can own a piece of someone else’s body and if all forms of art can be copyrighted.

This isn’t the first time the question of tattoo ownership has come up, tattooist Louis Molloy kicked up a stink about how many of the tattoos he had designed and tattooed on David Beckham would appear in an advert he was involved in.

It’s up to the courts at this point to decide what effect this copied tattoo will have on the original and how much of it is actually reproduced. If it goes Whitmill’s way, an injunction could be put in place preventing its release this week. Do you think this all sounds a bit crazy or does Whitmill have a point?

Take a look at the trailer below and see for yourself just how similar the tattoo is.

The Hangover Part II is supposed to be released on May 26.

The trailer for Limitless has been revealed, starring Robert De Niro and Bradley Cooper.

The film is based on The Dark Fields, a novel by Alan Glynn, and tells the story of dishevelled aspiring writer, Eddie Morra, played by The Hangover‘s Bradley Cooper.

Eddie spends much of his time convincing others that he could be the Next Big Thing, and very little time actually writing. His life appears to be going nowhere, until he bumps into an old friend who tells him of a new wonder-drug, NZT.

As promised, the drug appears to allow Eddie to make full use of his brain, whereas most humans function using just 20%. He is able to learn a language, analyse complex data and, of course, finish his book in record time, becoming ‘the perfect version’ of himself.

He’s seemingly taken under the wing of Carl Van Loon, played by Robert De Niro, but the side effects of NZT begin to take their toll, and Eddie soon begins to question the truth about the mystery drug’s origin and purpose.

Bright Star‘s Abbie Cornish and London Boulevard‘s Anna Friel will also join the cast of this thriller, which certainly seems to be full of potential. In fact, you might know more about this film than you realised, as Cooper has been taking part in a spoof viral campaign for NZT in order promote the film for some time. If you missed it, you can check out the mock-adverts here: http://theclearpill.com/about.html

The film is directed by Neil Burger, the man behind the critically acclaimed period drama, The Illusionist.

Limitless hits UK cinemas on 18th March next year. For now, you can check out the trailer below!

The star-studded line up of the latest Muppet movie, The Muppets, just keeps growing, as Ricky Gervais and Emily Blunt are added to the bill.

It might not be due to reach cinemas until Christmas 2011, but with the cast confirmations continuing to roll it, how could we not start to get excited about the new Muppet film?

Back in March it was announced that I Love you, Man‘s Jason Segel had signed on to play the human lead, having co-written the script with Nicholas Stoller, who previously worked with Segel on Forgetting Sarah Marshall.

Segel will play Gary, who joins his friend, a Muppet named Walter, in an attempt to reunite the old Muppet gang. If they succeed, they will be able to stop an evil oil tycoon from drilling underneath the TV studio where the original Muppet show was filmed.

In October it was announced that Leap Year‘s Amy Adams had been cast in the role of Gary’s girlfriend, with Rashida Jones and Chris Cooper joining them as a network executive and the lead antagonist, respectively.

Further details which have since been released confirm that Jack Black will appear as a kidnap victim, Alan Arkin will play a tour guide and Zach Galifianakis is taking on the role of hobo Joe.

Michael Cera, who we last saw in Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, is reportedly being considered for the voice of Walter, whilst Jean-Claude Van Damme and Kristen Schaal have also been confirmed to appear.

Other ‘slebs rumoured to be making an appearance include Sean Penn, Donald Glover and even Lady Gaga! Of course, we’re still looking forward to seeing the likes of Kermit and Miss Piggy make their return to the big screen, too.

No clues yet as to what roles might be played by Blunt and Gervais, but we’ll certainly keep you posted!

Director Todd Phillips clearly felt that we were all due another bromance before Hangover 2 came out, so created this vaguely funny comedy to keep us interested in the mean time. But like expectant parents, we would have been happy to wait the full nine months, for a health, bouncing… Hangover 2.

On paper Due Date looks very good. It has a big-and-respected actor, Robert Downey Jr, an up-and-coming comedy star Zach Galifianakis, director of the moment, Todd Phillips, and an open road. The perfect ingredients for the ultimate buddy film right?

Wrong. Perhaps if this was made five years ago, the jokes would have hit us with more impact and the two male friends’ relationship would have been genuinely touching. But unfortunately we didn’t even need this effort at a sore head. We’re still chuckling from The Hangover. That movie worked really well, partly because although it used a tired formula, their take on it was still fresh.

Due Date on the other hand is well past its sell by date. It tells the story of Peter Highman (Downey Jr) an uptight architect trying to get back to LA to be there for the birth of his first child. He’s a neurotic control freak with an extremely short fuse, but although this is comedy his character still seems a bit cardboard. As there’s little of explanation of all this anger and attitude, it’s difficult to sympathise with him.

The unlikely duo meet at the airport after their bags get switched, from there a crazy adventure begins as the pair are forced to travel by road to LA. The film is made up of one crazy event after another, such as falling off a bridge onto the interstate while in a car, eating Ethan’s father’s ashes and being beaten up by an Iraq veteran in the form of Danny McBride.

The same sequence of events, although very slightly varied, happens again and again throughout the film. Ethan does something ridiculously wrong, Peter gets seriously angry, they make up and then Ethan does something ridiculously wrong again. All this of course happens during their race against the clock to get home in time for the birth of Peter’s baby.

Danny McBride is not the only face to pop up in the film, there is also Jamie Foxx, a one time Oscar-winner, playing a completely underdeveloped and pretty much pointless football star and best friend to Peter. Then there is Juliette Lewis who plays a pot dealer. As always she is a pleasure to watch and her scene is one of the most enjoyable in the film.

Although it uses a very tired formula, there are a number of laughs. You will laugh out loud a few times and you’re likely to chuckle to yourself, but it’s more of a knowing chuckle than a health-and-safety-endangering laugh attack.

With most road movies you feel like the characters are not the only ones going on a journey, but that you are too. When watching this type of film, it’s good to be surprised by where we end up by the end of the trip. With Due Date we know our destination right from the start and unfortunately there are one too many bumps on the road to make this a trip worth making.

Due Date is in cinemas now.

Not since Nic Cage drained the dregs of his hipflask in Leaving Las Vegas has so much booze been sunk in Nevada’s Sin City…

Todd Phillips last brought the laughs courtesy of middle-aged foolery in Old School but the beer bongs are ditched for some harder stuff as a bachelor posse (Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms and Zach Galifianakis) lose their groom (Justin Bartha) and minds on the bender of all benders in Vegas. Of course, the only clues to their misadventures are the tiger, live baby, police car, missing tooth and heavyweight boxer they wake up with, so off they set on a shaky mission to retrace their footsteps.

It’s not exactly original, but then again, neither is our behaviour in the pub every Friday night, and there are plenty of laughs (mostly from Galifianakis, whose performance here will undoubtedly lift him to star status) – even for the stone cold sober.

Brain dead? Sure, but it’s perfect hangover viewing. A sequel is already in the work, so looks like nobody learns his lesson either, which you mind find yourself saying about this film second time round.

Just don’t take along your fiancé if you’re heading on a stag this summer.
