First pictures of Daniel Radcliffe in The Woman in Black

The first images from Daniel Radcliffe’s upcoming supernatural thriller, The Woman in Black, have officially been released.

Radcliffe was spotted a couple of months back filming in both Peterborough and Essex, but now the first official misty shots have finally been unveiled by Hammer Films, who are producing the movie.

The film is based on Susan Hill’s 1983 novel, with a screenplay from Kick-Ass co-writer, Jane Goldman. Radcliffe looked rather dashing as he ditched his boy-wizard get-up to play a young lawyer, who is sent to work at an isolated house in a remote village. As he sorts through his recently deceased client’s papers, he encounters a woman dressed all in black and begins to uncover hidden secrets from the past.

Radcliffe will be joined by his Harry Potter co-star Ciarán Hinds, as well as Janet McTeer, in the small cast of just five actors.

Filming is set to continue into December, and the film is due to be released sometime in 2011. We’ll keep you posted!
