No, you read the title correctly – it’s a film about Abraham Lincoln’s time spent fighting evil, undead, blood-sucking creatures of the night. And I’m not talking about Hollywood execs.
The film revolves around the President himself, played by Benjamin Walker, as he struggles with his mother’s death – attributed, in Vampire Hunter, to, yes, a vampire. But how to get his own back? By being trained in anti-vampire combat by an undead bloke, of course!
This film is insane, and I’m really looking forward to it, having tracked it for some time. It’s also based on a book by Seth Grahame Smith, so if you’re curious as to what the story entails before the film hits in August next year, then get reading. The posters are below (courtesy of IGN), and although I’d say they’re not as good as the novel’s cover, it certainly sets the tone.
