People who are worried that Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues will not live up to our high expectations, you may be in two minds after you see this trailer. On the one hand it’s difficult to better a classic comedy, but on the other hand, there are some very funny moments in the trailer which show a lot of promise. If we’re operating under the assumption (or fervent hope) that they’re not throwing all the best gags into the trailer and will leave us with the odd chuckle when we finally sit down for the full feature.
So what can we get excited about in this trailer? We’re given a glimpse of various cameos, including Harrison Ford and James Marsden, we get some slapstick, non-PC moments, and a teaser of a potentially memorable scene where Brick doesn’t understand why his legs have disappeared during a green screen segment. Will Ferrell, Steve Carrell, Christina Applegate and Paul Rudd are on top form too.

In yet another sneaky teaser for Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues, the iconic Ron Burgundy (Ferrell) this time addresses the public to share his pearls of wisdom on an important subject: Don’t ‘do it on the cheap’ when it comes to your ‘evening entertainment’. Make sure it’s ‘the real thing’.
For those who don’t speak Burgundy, he’s asking you to wait until you have the time and money to pay for a cinema ticket, rather than watching an illegal copy of the eagerly anticipated sequel.
