Anna Faris’ pitch picked up by Paramount

Anna Faris has turned her own experiences of Hollywood stardom into a film idea which has not only been picked up by Paramount, but will most likely give the actress a starring role in the final product.

She might be best known for her appearances in the various Scary Movie films, as well as her role in 2006’s My Super Ex-Girlfriend, but it seems Farris has now successfully pitched her very own film project to the people at Paramount.

If you’re wondering which of Faris’ own experiences have gone into the film, it is being described as a ‘stalker comedy’!

The film is currently without a title, but a script is being penned by Deanna Kizis and Palak Patel. Patel, who has recently been involved with Snow White and the Huntsman, is also set to produce the film, along with Joe Roth.

Meanwhile, Faris is currently set to appear in this year’s retro comedy Take Me Home Tonight, which comes from the writers of TV retro comedy, That ’70s Show. She will also be back on the big screen towards the end of the year with What’s Your Number? – another comedy in which she takes on the lead role of a woman who looks at her past relationships with men and wonders if love might have passed her by.

Although Faris’ untitled project might sound a little like a comedy version of the recently released thriller, The Roommate (which, of course, sounded a little like early ’90s thriller Single White Female), it certainly looks like she’s got a busy year ahead of her – we’ll keep you posted!
