“Let the adventure begin” says Michael Fassbender’s character. After watching this featurette, we can’t wait.
Ridley Scott, visionary director of Alien, Blade Runner and Gladiator is back, and he’s thrilled to be directing another sci-fi film. What’s it about? Well, according to him “it’s all about everything”. To be more specific however, it is set on an alien planet that is being explored by two characters played by Noomi Rapace (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows) and Logan Marshall-Green.
Marshall-Green is best known for appearing in various television series’, including crime drama Dark Blue and as Trey in The O.C. He also appeared alongside Richard Gere and Ethan Hawke in 2010 crime drama Brooklyn’s Finest.
The featurette shows us some exciting new footage of the film, as well as providing some insights from the cast and the director. The atmosphere of Prometheus looks spectacular, from the planets hanging over vast alien landscapes to Ridley Scott’s characteristically moody lighting and tension-building music.
According to Michael Fassbender, the Shame actor who plays a blond, silky-haired android, the 74-year-old Scott is “at the top of his game”, which bodes well for the success of this film. Charlize Theron, who plays the sinister Meredith Vickers, calls Scott her “fantasy director”.
Prometheus is out in the UK on 1st June, a week before its US release and you can check out the featurette below:
